"You Can't Stop The Beat" (HAIRSPRAY)
Well, I got a few volleyball friends into hip-hop class with me tonight. And
they had a lot of fun. I didn't tell them that I took the class with Bev last night. That means I knew the combination but doesn't mean I knew it well. I could help them with instruction but there were parts toward the end of the combination that I could not "pop." They stood in the back of the studio and I told them to follow the lead from the people she placed in the front during warm-up and the combination. Bev kept picking on them but she does it out of love because she wants them to dance the combination correctly. I always think of what Bev says at the end of each class--"Love yourself when you're learning." So true. Oh, well, they had a fun time and look to take more classes with me. I got some new converts. I've been with Broadway Dance Center since January and I remember my first class and I went by myself--it kicked my butt. So they did totally fine.
