Last night we had a return to Friday open play by a member who has since moved to CA and was in town for a short visit. Tracy is an remarkable girl and we are really sad
that she's in CA, but she made a good decision and what is best for her career. But we do miss her on the court and also in the afterhours. We enjoyed a rather leisure time at Brandeis last night and then we moved to the place where she and I have a fun time--karaoke. We got a little group together and headed down to our favorite place, Karaoke
17. Much to the chagrin of some of our twentysomething pals, we did a lot of 80s tunes because it just felt right and a little nostalgic. We eventually closed the place down around 4am, just like old times. I'm always happy for the people around me, the friends and players, but I'm also thankful for those of the past who remind us that life goes on and embracing the moment is always right.
