"Being Alive" (COMPANY)

Bubba is back. I'm back from my family visit to Texas. And, yes, that is my family nickname, typical, right? In our house, that name is all me and my brother has always called me "Nerdo." The visit was slow-paced (at least for me) but there was definitely a lot of things to do (at least before 10pm). There were nights where I would be sitting at my parent's almost completed house which happens to be in the middle of nowhere and all I would here was nothing (except the crickets and nothing but pitch blackness). Maybe at some point I will enjoy that and I did for just a few moments but it was just too quiet.

Now I'm back at work and joining in with the hectic schedule of June that is
ruling our office. We had a bowling event on Monday which in its ninth year runs like a machine and continues to outgross the numbers each year. Let's hope that continues. And this weekend is our largest event, Broadway Bares, which encompasses over 200 dancers, hundreds of volunteers in stage production, wardrobe, hair, make-up, and about 3,600 spectators at each of two shows on Sunday evening. So no beach volleyball for me this weekend so hopefully the gang will have good weather, it was totally awesome weather last weekend for play.

Tonight the cheerleaders were called to witness our guys, the No. 2 team--Sofa
King, take on the No. 1 team in men's D2 as they near the end of the season. Our lead in this cheering section is either Claire or Dee and they find out the weekly game and decide on location for dinner beforehand. We're not exactly sure how it became a weekly event for us because we started watching these guys after we played with them at Brandeis. They play a tough game and we just show up to show some support. This evening they started off rough with their first game not being their best played one but they came back with a lot more grit and determination in the next two games to win. The action on the court is really a lot of fun to cheer on. The spectator action on the sidelines is completely hilarious at times, not only are we cheering and clapping for the team but the comments are random and quite amusing. Here is an example in this video clip at one of their games earlier this season.
