We had our quads last Friday night but it has been so busy with collections and things that I forgot to mention in my blog. How crazy is that, the one place I should announce it. Anyway, for the Urban divisions 13-16, our little team took the competition by the horns and had a lot of fun. They put up a good fight and the guys tried real hard but with the majority of our team being girls, they whooped on their ass so bad that the guys on the other side of the net were a little scared and big time intimidated after just a few points. Of course, they started off tough but when our girls started to block them and totally hit the ball solidly at the net, there was little cheering from the other side. Our side, on the other hand, kept the kind of attitude we've had all season, TO HAVE FUN!!! We had several of our regular guys who couldn't make it or completely forgot about it so we had our back-ups ready like Mary and Claire who came to cheer us on. They're on our roster anyway so they suited up and played the game. We laughed a lot and were happy to win the quads. We also throw out congratulations to our friends who took another quads at another gym, Go DFA for taking Divisions 5-8. We got a nice little plague but we also got these ugly-ass ORANGE sweatshirts but at least they say "Urban Volleyball Champions." I might wear it if I can fit into mine. Our fall season is going well and we remain in first place with one loss and a few different faces. But we're still having a lot of fun with just a few slight adjustments. My Big City team, on the other hand, is something that just needs a lot of work and I'm dealing with that. Anyway, here's to another great week and another week down of collections.
